What does it look like to care about our community’s children?
While the Stand community has maintained that all they want is for RVC to leave White Hill, in fact, Stand leaders–and we presume many Stand followers who are in the loop through Basecamp, with knowledge, we presume, from Anne Capron and district leadership, have been doing just the opposite. They’ve been actively trying to prevent RVC from leaving.
As Stand followers fist-pound their impatient anger and stamp their feet in a coordinated temper tantrum on social media because the Charter folks are moving cautiously before they return the White Hill location to RVSD, we are reliably informed that Stand leadership are, in secret, trying to dissuade St. Rita and the Archdiocese from renting to the Charter!
We aren’t really surprised at this bad behavior, as we’ve always maintained our belief that Stand and district leadership really wanted to destroy the charter, not just have it move off the White Hill campus.
Maybe some in the community will begin, now, to see who is actually leading them and what their real agenda is. This move is an opportunity for the community to move on and heal. It’s a shame Stand isn’t interested in dropping the conflict and focusing on their own schools.
